Posted on by

2014 has ended with a bang. Thanks to our numerous partnerships, we managed to help assist approximately 450 children with Christmas.  A big thank you goes out to the Glenda Gooch Foundation, First Baptist Church, the High School Beta Club, Trackrock Baptist, the Union County Volunteer Fire Department, the Blairsville Cruisers, the Blairsville Vineyard, Liberty Baptist, ServePro, Goldwing Motorcycle Club, the High School Spanish Club, Harmony Grove, YHC Student Ambassadors, Mountain Presbyterian, Home Depot, Shop with a Cop and a number of individuals and small businesses for all their help in making Christmas a success for these children who otherwise may have gone without this year.

The Fire Department delivered gifts in the fire trucks to several families.

Another thank you goes out to SalonTru who raised $800 for the Family Connection emergency fund with their raffle. This money will go to help with emergencies for families of children in the school system.  Family Connection also had a booth at the PTO Fall Festival and raised an additional $800 for the emergency fund.

SalonTru raffled this beautiful basket of hair care products to raise money for Family Connection’s emergency fund.

From August through December, 3,053 Goodies from the Heart bags were given out to children so they could have food on the weekends.

We were also contacted by the Coldwell Detention Center about refurbished bikes for families in need. We are continuing to work with families to provide them with free bikes such as this one:

All in all, 2014 was a great year. 2015 is looking bright.
