Thanks to donations from many of our community partners, including Coosa United Methodist, First Baptist Church, community members, Kiwanis, Department of Community Supervision, First United Methodist Church, Fellowship of the Hills Church, St. Clare’s Episcopal Church, the Goldwing Motorcycle Club, New Union Baptist Church and many other supporters, we are able to provide school supplies, backpacks, hygiene items, and clothing to many of our students in need throughout the school year. Donations are accepted and appreciated!
A few years ago, members of the community and local churches saw a need to help supply bookbags and school supplies to students in need. Therefore, the Backpack 2 School Bash was born. The Bash has grown each year and serves approximately 400 students to provide exactly the items requested by Union County and Woody Gap Schools. Students and their families are also provided with lunch and fun family activities. Pre-Registration is required and will begin in the summer before school starts.
