Union County Family Connection was pleased to attend the “Community Policing” segment of officer training last week with the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Blairsville Police Department. We were able to share the resources we can provide so that officers have knowledge they can pass on to community members in need. As part of the information sharing, we provided 180 care packs to the two agencies. The care packs contain hygiene and first aid items for adults and kids and comfort items for children such as a blanket and coloring books. The items were packed into a bag with food resources and our county resource guides. Strengthening relationships between our agencies helps to build a stronger network of care for our citizens. Thank you to the law enforcement officers for allowing us to share our goals and mission with you.
