What an incredible day at our Family Connection Resource Fair! From local nonprofits and businesses to health services, education programs, and family resources, we were proud to bring together such a diverse group of vendors all in one place. Thank you to every vendor who shared their work and made a difference – and to our amazing community for coming out and connecting. Thank you to the Union County Civic Center for being accommodating to our agencies.
The meaningful networking was a highlight of the day. Community members were encouraged to network by collecting stickers from each table they visited. Once the sticker sheet was complete, the participant was placed in a drawing. Our lucky winner was David Holloway who chose $200 worth of grocery cards. David said the cards could not have come at a better time and was very appreciative.
We at Family Connection and our drug prevention coalition UC CPAW were able to share about our programs and services, provide medication boxes and cabinet locks, and share ways caregivers can help prevent youth substance abuse. To top off the day, Vertical Church came out with The Table food truck to serve delicious, free food for the event.
